About Draught Proofing Canberra
A bit of history…
DPC was established in 2017 by Greta Hamilton and Charlie Woolstencroft who successfully ran the business until retiring in 2020.
With Ray being passionate about sustainability and caring for the planet, communities and each other, it was a natural progression when he decided to take over the business.
Charlie was Rays mentor and adviser for the energy efficiency programs, and this is why Ray has a lot of gratitude for Charlie and Greta for their continued support and for paving the way for DPC to be a recognised local business that effectively supports the Canberran community.
Meet the face behind Draught Proofing Canberra.
Ray
Hi, I’m Ray! I am a licensed Tradesman Painter, Decorator and Handyman with over 35 years of experience working in the industry.
As a Permaculture Designer, I worked on the Sustaining Our Towns program with Queanbeyan Council. My role included Permaculture workshops while also doing free Permaculture Designs for individuals along the coast from Eden to Batemans Bay and inland from Queanbeyan to Young.
I have also worked with the St Vincent de Paul Society as an Energy Efficiency Advisor, which saw me draught-proof over 700 homes while also offering energy-saving advice and the installation of curtains for many families in Canberra.
